INFANT CARE AND FEEDING
Ages 6 weeks to 12 months old
A happy baby from morning to night You are looking for a safe, secure "home away from home" where your child can learn, play, and grow. We have designed a nurturing, creative world for infants to help their minds and bodies develop. Our Center Directors and teachers work with you to make a smooth transition into our program, and have it happen with smiles on both your child's face and your own. We are committed to creating a strong bond with your child to ensure the best start in life.

We understand that the first five years of a child's life is an amazing time of growth and learning that serves as the foundation for future stages of development. The Early Foundations Infant program provides the right environment and experiences to meet these rapidly developing abilities. Our program emphasizes the importance of positive, supportive interactions between our teachers and your child. Our teachers sing, read, and talk to your child to help him or her with this critical development. Age-appropriate activities promote cognitive and social development in a warm, nurturing environment.

Features
*Age-appropriate toys, games, and music to stimulate development
*Nurturing, personal care that builds trust and self-esteem
*Stimulating activities and group interactions that encourage your child to play and explore, generating interest and curiosity as your child grows.
*Regular communication with teachers, including daily notes, to inform you about your child's day.

Infant’s Daily Schedule
6:00 - Arrival - Each day starts with a special greeting from staff.

- Most of the infants day is unscheduled and very unpredictable as you probably already know. We are pretty much on their time, not the other way around. They are allowed to sleep when they are tired, unless the parent is trying to establish a schedule. They are held, cuddled, sung to, read to, talked to, and played with throughout much of the day. The baby’s room is full of fun and safe instruments that are designed especially for infants. They were carefully selected to help aid us in the development of your babies physical, emotional and social development. Infants will be taken outdoors each day in two 30 minute intervals between the hours of 9 am - 10 am and again between 1 pm - 2 pm.

-In preparation for their nearby transition to toddlerhood, Infant’s between the ages of 9-11 months are started on a more structured day, with regards to feedings and nap time.
