About Little Angels Daycare

Little Angels Daycare was borne from a mother’s Love...
Owner Patonia Lumpkin is a native of Athens and is married to husband Andre Lumpkin for 23 years. Patonia’s previous background is in administration, but after giving birth to her daughter Adrienne, she became a stay-at-home-mom for two years. After deciding to return back into the work force, Mrs. Lumpkin set forth her search for quality childcare for her Little Angel. After several seriously failed attempts at finding the right program to care for daughter, Patonia chose her child over her career, which lead to the wonderful creation of Little Angels Daycare! Patonia created a childcare program based on her own concerns, and those that other parents shared. Mrs. Lumpkin’s childcare program was far more than a business, It was an exciting solution fueled by a woman whose heart was—and is—centered on loving care for young children. Since founded in January 2001, Mrs. Lumpkin has worked vigorously to provide care for all children regardless of race, gender, or economic status. Within this time Patonia Lumpkin has earned her Child Development Associate and has acquired countless hours of Early Childhood Education training.

Now, 17 years later, Patonia Lumpkin has grown Little Angels Daycare into one of the most desirable childcare centers in the Athens area. With such demand for quality care at an affordable rate, Mrs. Lumpkin opened a second location in August 2016—both campuses maintains a perfect health record determined by Bright From the Start Early Care and Learning. On January 2013, Little Angels Daycare became the very 1st Center in the entire state of Georgia to become Quality Rated, and holding a National Accreditation through NECPA for three consecutive years! The academics and social skills are unrivaled, with her preschool graduates demonstrating more advanced knowledge and skills than their peers from other programs. With such a long history, Patonia understands what it takes to succeed as a caregiver, educator, and businessperson. Her low staff turn-over rate attests to her success—and contributes to the consistency that is critical for the children in her care.
